One of my favourite songs which I was reminded of by brother Michael Basham, in his post about David’s Psalms of war vs enemies (spiritual), is Psalm 24 especially verses 7-10. The brother who composed the music and sings, is another Micha’el (Eliyahu BenDavid) and every time I sing along with it, I sense the stirrings of Holy Spirit power in the lyrics. Without further ado, here are the lyrics:

Melech HaKavod (Psalm 24:7-10)

S’u Shearim Rosheichem
V’Hinasu Pitchey Olam [2X]

V’Yavo Melech HaKavod
Mi Hu Zeh Melech HaKavod
Adonai Izuz v’Gibor
Hashem Gibor Milchama

Lift Up Your Heads, O Ye Gates
Be Lifted Up You Everlasting Doors [2X]

And the King of Glory Shall Come In
Who is this King of Glory?
The LORD (YHVH) Strong & Mighty
YESHUA Mighty In Battle

Our God is a Man of War

YESHUA is His Name
He is the King of Glory

S’u Shearim Rosheichem
V’Hinasu Pitchey Olam [2X]

V’Yavo Melech HaKavod
Mi Hu Zeh Melech HaKavod
Adonai Izuz v’Gibor
Adonai Gibor Milchama

Adonai Ish Milchama

Sh’mo Yeshua
Hu Melech HaKavod

When I sing tho’ I change the Hebrew lyrics from Adonai to YHWH (which is in the original Hebrew text, and of course I insert Yeshua for HaShem (Ha Shem = The Name) referring to the name of Our Father, but seeing as I’ve mentioned before that Exodus 3 contains the command given to Moses that His name is YHWH and it is the name by which He is to be remembered and addressed thru all generations, then I do exactly that. I use Yeshua as Micha’el did in the English lyrics, even though the Hebrew has the Father’s name, because as Yeshua Himself told us, “I and the Father are one”. Revelation shows us Yeshua commanding the armies of heaven riding a white horse, to put an end to Satan’s reign of wickedness forever, once and for all.
